The Greenwich Village Folk Festival was founded in 1987 to honor the music and legacy of the Village's music. Founding producers were Rod MacDonald, Ray Micek, Jay Rosen and Gerry Hinson.
The GVFF held annual concerts 1987-94, and has returned in 2020 with online monthly concerts, the first Sunday of each month.

Clearwater Sloop
In 1966, Pete Seeger announced plans to “build a boat to save the river.”
In 1969, the 106-foot sloop Clearwater was launched from Maine, to ultimately made her home on the Hudson River.
Clearwater was the first environmental group to focus on an entire river and its ecosystem, the first wooden sailing ship with a mission to preserve and protect the environment, and the first onboard environmental classroom accessible to children of all ages, races, backgrounds.
NorthEast Regional Folk Alliance
More than 700 people actively engaged in folk music attend the NERFA conference.
Although it features some wonderful musical performances and is a lot of fun, this is not a music festival. Neither the conference nor its showcases are open to the general public.
Ricochet Rabbit
Ricochet Rabbit was featured on The Magilla Gorilla Show, and later appeared on The Peter Potamus Show.
Ricochet would bounce off stationary objects yelling "Bing-bing-bing!"
Coyote vs. Acme
Coyote vs. Acme is an unreleased live-action/animated legal comedy based on a 1990 magazine article published in The New Yorker by Ian Frazier.
It was shelved in 2023. Following public backlash, the filmmakers were allowed to shop the film to other distributors. As of April 2024, the film remains "available for acquisition".
Dave Van Ronk
Van Ronk was an important figure in the American folk music revival and New York City's Greenwich Village scene in the 1960s, he was nicknamed the "Mayor of MacDougal Street".Aztec Two-Step
An American folk-rock band formed by Rex Fowler and Neal Shulman after a chance meeting on stage at the Stone Phoenix in Boston in 1971.
Rex & Neal went on to Record four albums on Elektra and RCA Records that helped usher the music of the 60’s into the 1970’s and beyond, leaving an indelible mark on the musical genre.
A documentary about the band, No-Hit Wonder, aired on PBS in 1999.
