Squawk Magazine
A zine associated with the Naked City / Squawk Coffeehouse scene. Mostly, I'm awed that an angelfire page is still online.
Comedy clubs in Harvard Square
The Comedy Studio has returned to Harvard Square, in roughly the same place where the Catch a Rising Star comedy club was in the late 1980s.

David Cross
One time... a comedian came on... and he was bombing. ... Wait a minute. You're not laughing with me. You're laughing at me. And he starts crying and everyone starts laughing louder.
... If you didn't know what was going on, it would just turn you off to comedy clubs for the rest of your life.

On the Road: the Original Scroll Reader’s Guide
On the fiftieth anniversary of Kerouac’s On the Road, the original scroll toured the country. Per legend, the novel that was eventually published as On the Road six years later was but a tame, heavily censored version of the original.
The scroll is in fact only slightly different and longer than the published novel. It is unparagraphed and makes much more use of dashes and ellipses.
