The Tragic Murder of Cara Quinn: A True Crime Story
Cara Quinn was murdered on February 14, 1980. Once it was evident that Cara was missing, the authorities were notified, and a massive search of the area ensued. After two weeks, Boy Scouts found Cara’s body in a wooded area about 20 miles from her home.
Based on evidence and a few tips, they arrested Martin Wayne Shifflett and charged him with Cara’s murder.
At the time of his arrest, he was wanted in four other states on a variety of charges and was on parole from a Connecticut prison for robbery. Nearly a year and a half later, Shifflett was found guilty and sentenced to 25 years to life.
